The Silverstone Classic is one of the world’s largest historic motorsport events. The 2022 edition saw 20 different races spanning across 10 decades of motorsport history.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Group C racing they held a Group C demo consisting of 20 of the greatest cars from the era. As always, the line-up was Porsche heavy but also included Jaguar, Sauber, Aston Martin and Spice.
We emptied our garage bringing along the following 12 cars from the collection:
The wonderful collection of cars was also joined by an incredible selection of accomplished drivers, of which some drove these cars in period. The big names included Derek Bell, Kenny Acheson, John Fitzpatrick and John Watson. The drivers returned to their Group C cars, many after long breaks, to please the crowds with high-speed demos.
