Ben Collins (Ex Stig) drives the Rothmans 962 - behind the scenes

Last month we took to Donington Park to let Ben Collins (aka The Stig) loose in his poster car for the first time, the Works Rothmans Porsche 962! Some people say never meet your heroes but this definitely did not apply here. If you haven’t already you can see Ben’s full on-board review here.

We had just half an hour of track time to film the video, which meant that Ben was learning the car as we were filming. This really says a lot about the drivability of the 962 platform, although arguably the most successful sports racers ever they are actually surprisingly simple and easy to drive. You can see Ben’s confidence in the car quickly growing throughout the video and by the end of the half hour slot he had truly gelled with the car (yes we did have to drag him out…).
