Hertz Team Jota aiming high at Le Mans

22.05.23

On the evening of the 22nd of May we were delighted to be able to support our close friends and neighbours Hertz Team Jota at their launch celebration held at Joe Macari Performance Cars, providing two very significant Group C Porsches for the event.

The privateer team are aiming for outright victory at this years 24 Hours of Le Mans and they are running their factory specification Hertz Porsche 963 car against the might of the manufacturer and Works supported teams.

We sent along our Skoal Bandit 956B-114, which like Hertz Team Jota was a privateer entry, run by the famous John Fitzpatrick Racing. Also there was our Porsche 962-010, the final works-entered 962 in that glorious Shell Dunlop livery. This car was the runner up at the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing just behind the winning Jaguar.

We've supported Sam Hignett and David Clark and their outstanding Jota team since we first joined them as guests in their pit garage at Le Mans in 2004. We were there driving our Silk Cut Jaguar XJR-11 at the inaugural Group C support race held before the main event.

With 9 podiums in the last ten years and also being just a whisker away from an overall victory in an LMP2 car, they have spent the last twenty two years building a formidable operation.

With the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans fast approaching we're very excited to be joining them once again at the race and we wish them all the very best of luck!
